James Joyce has been a music fanatic his entire life, from devouring his parents’ record collection as a child to the latest album he picked up yesterday. Just as much as the music itself, James loves to absorb everything he can about the history behind the records, the interconnectedness between the artists and various scenes, and all of the stories that can be shared. He has known Cassy and Tom for nearly 30 years, spending countless hours talking about music, history, culture, life – all as it relates to these records. It only makes sense that we record some of these conversations, and include our friends!
There are few things Cassy loves more than great music and great beer so getting together with a couple of old friends over some pints to discuss their favorite records is almost a dream come true. The only thing that could make it better would be kittens. Can we add kittens?
Tom Cheshire is a poet, songwriter and musician from New York City, who fronts the bands West End Motel and All Night Drug Prowling Wolves. Luckily for us, this pandemic has brought him to Atlanta to create this show with old friends who share the same passions.

And a very heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful staff at the amazing Trackside Tavern
While at Trackside celebrating Cassy's birthday, the three soon-to-be hosts of Three on the Ones and Twos got to talking (about music - of course!) The three of them met at different times in the early 90s and all three are huge music enthusiasts (especially James - it's fascinating how much he knows about recorded music) so them chatting it up on the topic wasn't anything new. But sometime (after several pints and much conversation) between leaving Trackside and the next morning, Tom got an idea (everyone who knows Tom knows he's full of creative ideas.) How about filming some of these chats of what three old friends have to say about their favorite records over a few rounds of drinks? So he tossed the idea out on his social media which went something like this: "Thinking about doing a YouTube show with James Joyce and Cassy called Three on the Ones and Twos (Tom always has such clever names for his creative ideas) where we sit down and drink Guinness and discuss our favorite records." And the response from friends was amazing. James was in (heck yeah to an outlet for all of his stellar knowledge on the topic.) Cassy was in (music?! beer?! for sure!!) And that is the story of Three on the Ones and Twos.
